Years With You: A New Musical is an original musical written by Samuel Hall that tells the tale of an old student house, called the Old Stone Brewery, and the home created within it.The world premiere of Years With You opened at Peterborough, Ontario's The Theatre On King with a 5-show run in April, 2026 that completely sold out every seat within 3 hours!This show continues to evolve and develop with an original cast recording lined up to be released in the coming months thanks to the support of Peterborough's Treblecock Studio.

A crazy show about a crazy house on a crazy street in a crazy town

Years With You: A New Musical is an original musical that tells the tale of an old student house and the home created within it. After discovering tapes filled with stories from the students who had lived there in the ‘80s, four roommates recount their own stories, including a week-long power outage, a series of thefts, and a street full of zany characters. Years With You tells a bittersweet story of moving out, moving on, and saying goodbye to a home you never expected to find.The show is written for a cast of 10 actors and offers flexible casting giving performers and audience members the ability to see themselves within any of the characters. It's original production consisted of 11 actor-musicians.

About the Writer

Since childhood, Samuel Hall has been immersed in the world of musical theatre with experience directing and producing, Royal Conservatory piano certification, and 15+ years of on-stage experience in roles such as Jack in Into The Woods (St. James Players) and Frank Abagnale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can (ASTC). Sam is thrilled to be presenting his debut musical with the help of one of the best casts and creative teams he has ever had the privilege of working with. You may know Sam from his directorial debut; ASTC's 2025 production of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, which sold-out it's entire run before opening night. Hall is a Master of Education student at Trent University with plans to pursue a career in student support.

TTOK 2026

The Years With You Premiere Production

On April 2nd-4th, 2026, Years With You premiered with five performances at The Theatre On King (TTOK) in Downtown Peterborough.Thanks to the funding of the Trent IMPACT Microgrant Program and Theatre Trent, we were able to offer five full performances completely free! Complete with an all-star cast of actor-musicians this show made the audience laugh, cry, and double check the fine print on their leases!
